Five new hybrids were officially registered in The Gesneriad Society by GCCC (Ms. Li Shu, Dr. Wen Fang and Prof. Wei Yi-Gang) at 28^th Apr., 2018. At the same time, those new ornamental varieties were released on the website of the Gesneriad Society. They are:Primulina “Xuan’s Party Dress”,”Lavender Field”,“PeachBeauty”,”Amethyst brooch”,”Lotus Fairy”.

    It has to be mentioned that the inspiration of two ornamental varieties, ”Lavender Field”and “Amethyst brooch”,derived from some field investigations by Dr. Wen Fang some years ago. He found some interesting plants and they looked like natural hybrids by their parents which grow on the same localities. To test Wen’s prediction, Ms. Li Shu used the assumed parents to make the hybridized combination. At last our guess was confirmed. Thus, we submitted to register our new hybrids. The works are a basic prophase work for the sustainable using of Gesneriaceae in Guangxi.
