2016-06-20 Field investigation

This time we focused on Gesneriaceae, Lauraceae, Urticaceae, Aspidistra, Rubiaceae (for example Ophiorrhiza), Acanthaceae, Orchidaceae, Begoniaceae, etc. Of course, we found many beautiful wildflowers beside Gesneriaceae. Later, Dr. Wen Fang and a student, Gui Guan, investigated Cenwang Laoshan National Nature Reserve in Tianlin County, Guangxi, for an unknown species of Petrocosmea or Chiritopsis (=Primulina) (Gesneriaceae).
At the same time we took many photographs of Gesneriaceae, such as Metabriggsia purpureotincta W.T.Wang (= Hemiboea purpureotincta (W.T.Wang) A.Weber & Mich.Möller), Chirita pumila D. Don (= Henckelia pumila (D. Don) A. Dietr.), Chirita anachoreta Hance (= Henckelia anachoreta (Hance) D.J. Middleton & Mich. Möller), Didymocarpus glandulosus (W. W. Smith) W.T.Wang var. minor (W.T.Wang) W.T.Wang, ect. Impatiens is another wonderful group with bright and amazing flowers.

No. 1 An unknown species of Petrocosmea or Chiritopsis (Primulina) was found on this field investigation.
