GCCC:
The member of GCCC, Researcher Wen Fang from Guilin Botanical Garden, Guangxi Institute of Botany, Guangxi Zhuangzu Autonomous Region and CAS, visited The Germplasm Bank of Wild Species (GBOWS, http://www.genobank.org/), where is in Kunming Institute of Botany, CAS, Heilongtan, Kuming, Yunnan Province, in 31st Jul., 2018. Dr. Zhang Ting, Engineer Ya Ji-Dong and the doctoral student, Mr. Cai Lei, accompanied Wen Fang visiting the living plants collection nursery in GBOWS.
At present, GBOWS already has collected the 376 copies of seeds in 31 genera and 118 speceis of Gesneriaceae. At the same time, many living plants in this family were collected and introduced, and cultivated in the nursery for the further researches.
Dr Zhang Ting said
that one of the most important tasks in GBSW is to collect and conserve while
serving scientific researches. Dr Wen Fang, also, deemed we should further
strengthen our cooperation, and make great efforts to collect, conserve and
preserve the germplasm resources of
GCCC was vary happy
to get the 47 germplasm copies/species of Gesneriaceae. Those materials cover
GCCC thanks The Germplasm Bank of Wild Species (GBOWS), Dr. Zhang Ting, the Engineer Ya Ji-Dong and the doctoral student, Mr. Cai Lei very much!
