Primula subansirica G.D. Pal is not a Primula (Primulaceae), but rather belongs to Gesneriaceae

ABSTRACT
Examination of type specimens has shown that Primula subansirica G.D. Pal is a Gesneriad and conspecific with Beccarinda cordifolia (Anthony) B.L. Burtt (Gesneriaceae), thus a reduction is made and a new synonymy is proposed.

Note: The specific epithet of previous Primula subansirica G.D. Pal,“subansirica”, based on the name of district of type locality. However, it is located in so-called & spurious “Arunachal”, where is being illegally occupied by India. Actually, it belongs to Medog County (Motuo County), Linzhi city, Autonomous Region, China, and has been China's territory since ancient times. China is the real master of the South Xizang.
