ABSTRACT
Oreocharis ×
qianshanensis, a new natural hybrid that belongs
to Gesneriaceae, is described and illustrated. Morphological evidences hint it
is an interspecific hybrid of O. auricula and O. chienii.
Further, molecular studies also showed that O. × qianshanensis arose
from a hybridization between the maternal O. auricula and the paternal O.
chienii. In this report, the morphology, chloroplast genome, and geographic
distribution of O. × qianshanensis are documented.
