A newly recorded genus in Hunan Province: Rhabdothamnopsis Hemsley( Gesneriaceae)

ABSTRACT

Based on literature, Rhabdothamnopsis Hemsley is a genus endemic to Chinawith only one species ofRhabdothamnopsis siensis Hemsley and one variety of R. sinensis var. ochroleuca W. W. Smith. R. sinensis is distributed in YunnanSichuanGuizhou and Chongqing in China However, it is recently found in Changguan Town of Yongshun County of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Hunan Province. This new distribution is not only the first record in Hu’nan Province and Wuling Mountain region but also the easternmost distribution reported of RhabdothamnopsisHemsley (Cited from Xiao et al., 2015).
