On June 14, 2017, Engineer, Zhang Zi-Bin, the Deputy Director of Flower Research Institute of Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Science (FRI-GAAS)in Nanning, led a group to visit GCCC and Guilin Botanical Garden. They communicated and exchanged with Dr Wen Fang, who is the head of GCCC, .on the current situation, the serious situation, conservation and breeding of new ornamental varieties of Chinese Gesneriaceae plants.

Yan Hai-Xia and Li Xiu-Ling, who are associate research fellows and the main members of this visiting group, had deep knowledge of the construction, main responsibilities and contents, and international / national cooperation and communication of GCCC. They also hope two units and all three can develop cooperation in many aspects, especially in breeding of new ornamental varieties of Gesneriaceae plants, to develop the Gesneriacear indoor potted flowers in flower market.
